An ideal combination of Wireless and Satellite communications can provide a cost effective end-to-end solution. Multiple VSAT terminals are expensive. By making use of wireless backhauls, access points and client devices, the cost can be reduced for VSAT operators and service providers that will enable them to extend their range of operations and offer more value-added services. A VSAT serving as a backbone and connecting to a wireless access point for the creation of a Wireless LAN (WLAN) is a typical deployment. The access point combination, along with a sector and/or omni antenna can provide point-to-multipoint coverage in a ‘Line of Sight’ condition to multiple clienteles equipped with client devices and directional antennas. Clientele may range from large businesses to individual residents. The VSAT connecting to backhauls form point-topoint links that are connect isolated which could be rural or urban based villages, towns and businesses. The backhaul will be connected remotely to an access point serving the clientele as already described.
